“Morla:Design is artful, elegant, provocative, lively, smart: quintessentially modern. You can open it up randomly to any page and find some compelling visual narrative or message.”

Morla created a book that speaks meaningfully to a non-design audience. The cover entices a viewer to open and discover, though essays, project descriptions and design reflections, how design affects and reflects our culture. Content is vibrant and accessible, allowing the viewer to open the book at random and be engaged in the narrative of design.

The book is a design object in its own right. A vacuum-formed cover invites discovery. To identify sections, essays are printed in dayglow ink spreads, projects incorporate a full bleed detail on the recto (right side) pages and Morla’s “designisms” are printed with white ink on vellum. Ribbon bookmarks allow the reader to mark their place and resume again easily.
