“After six weeks of experimentation at the Workshop Residence, award-winning graphic Designer Jennifer Morla developed a collection of rugs, cutwork wall hangings, and table coverings, all made of gray industrial wool felt.”
– Dwell magazine
Jennifer Morla’s collaborations extend into the design community as an educator and artist. The Workshop Residence, founded by creative advocate Ann Hatch, invited Morla to participate in the program as a resident artist in the spring. Morla investigated typographic forms as applied to floor coverings and wall panels. Working with 100% wool, un-dyed industrial felt, she created typographic arrangements that re-contextualize the typeface from its original purpose, transforming it into patterns of cut and layered felt. The products are available for purchase from the Workshop Residence website.
